A Cinderella Story

2004 American, teen, romantic comedy film featuring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray, directed by Mark Rosman. Routinely exploited by her wicked stepmother, the downtrodden Sam Montgomery is excited about the prospect of meeting her Internet beau at the school's Halloween dance.

Favorite Lines:

Shelby: What can I get here that has no sugar, no carbs, and is fat free?

Sam: Water.

-----

Austin: Do you believe in love at first sight?

Sam: I'll let you know.

-----

Austin: Sam! Okay, I know you think that I'm just some...

Sam: Coward? Phony?

Austin: Okay, just listen.

Sam: No, you listen. You turned out to be exactly who I thought you were. I never pretended to be somebody else. It's been me all along. And it was me who was hurt in front of everybody. Look, I didn't come here to yell at you, okay? I came to tell you that I know what it feels like to be afraid to show who you are. I was, but I'm not anymore. And the thing is, I really don't care what people think about me... because I believe in myself. And I know that things are gonna be okay. But even though I have no family, and no job, and no money for college... it's you that I feel sorry for.

-----

Austin: I can be surrounded by a sea of people and still feel all alone... Then I think of you.

Take the Lead

2006 movie starring Antonio Banderas, Rob Brown, Alfre Woodard, Dante Basco, Marcus T. Paulk, Jenna Dewan, Lauren Collins and also features former America's Next Top Model contestant, Yaya DaCosta. The movie is based on the life of Pierre Dulaine, a well-known ballroom dancer and a dance instructor, known for 'Dancing Classrooms'.

Favorite Lines:

Pierre Dulaine: You can get what you want.

Rock: No, some people get what they want.

Pierre Dulaine: Those are the people who show up to get it.

-----

Pierre Dulaine: Sometimes the best way to conquer an enemy is to get right up in his face.

LaRhette: I'd rather be dead than up in his face.

Rock: You know what? I feel the same way.

-----

Kurd: We don't need any more white bread tourists seeing how the other half lives. We don't.

Caitlin: White bread? Excuse me, do you own a mirror?

-----

Pierre Dulaine: I want to teach your kids to dance.

Principal Augustine James: If theres' one thing they can do, it's dance.

Pierre Dulaine: Ballroom dance? Waltz, the foxtrot?

Principal Augustine James: Ok, where's the camera? Because if you're saying that you want to teach my kids the foxtrot I have to be on TV.

-----

To do something, anything, is hard. It's much easier to blame your father, your mother, the environment, the government, the lack of money, but even if you find a place to assign the blame, it doesn't make the problems go away.
--Pierre Dulaine

Today my respect for that idiot shot up. Most of us went to college just for a degree. No degree meant no plum job, no pretty wife, no credit card, no social status. But none of this mattered to him, he was in college for the joy of learning, he never cared if he was first or last.
